Welcome to the Voyagers Room
Our Voyagers room is designed for toddlers aged 24 to 30 months. This is a stage full of movement, discovery and blossoming independence. The Montessori environment supports toddlers as they begin to explore the world with energy, curiosity and delight.
Learning with Purpose
Toddlers thrive when they can take part in real, meaningful activities. In the Voyagers room, children enjoy Practical Life experiences such as sweeping, pouring, planting and caring for their environment. These activities develop concentration, coordination and a deep sense of accomplishment.
A Garden to Inspire Imagination
Children in the Voyagers room have daily access to our large garden. They plant seeds, water flowers and watch fruit and vegetables grow. Gardening gives toddlers a connection to nature and helps them feel responsible and involved in the world around them.
Montessori Materials that Encourage Discovery
Sensorial materials allow toddlers to explore shapes, colours, sizes, sounds and textures. These materials help children organise their thinking and make sense of new information. Language learning also grows rapidly with storytelling, conversation and early phonetic activities.
Swimming for Growing Bodies and Minds
Weekly swimming continues in the Voyagers room. These sessions improve coordination, balance and confidence. Swimming also teaches children how to follow gentle routines and respect the water in a calm and enjoyable setting.
Skilled and Supportive Educators
Our Montessori trained team knows how to observe toddlers with patience and respect. They offer just the right amount of help while still encouraging independence. Families also benefit from support from our on site Health Visitor who offers guidance for development, behaviour and wellbeing.
Emotional Comfort and Security
The Key Person approach remains central to the Voyagers room. Your toddler spends most of their day with a trusted adult who knows their personality, needs and routine. This secure bond gives children the confidence to explore freely.
