Our Explorers room welcomes babies from 6 weeks to 24 months into a peaceful Montessori environment filled with warmth, softness and security. This is where your baby’s Montessori journey begins. Every detail is intentionally prepared to support early independence, concentration and natural curiosity.

The Explorers room is designed with muted colours, natural materials and plenty of open space for safe, unhurried exploration. Babies are free to move, reach, touch and discover. The room is carefully arranged to encourage independence and to help babies gain confidence in their abilities from the earliest days.
Loving Guidance from Montessori Educators
Our team includes Montessori certified educators who understand how to follow infants with sensitivity and respect. They observe each child closely and offer gentle guidance that supports development without pressure. Families also benefit from our on site Health Visitor who offers professional advice and reassurance regarding milestones and wellbeing.
Early Montessori Learning
The Montessori approach begins in infancy. Babies take part in Practical Life experiences such as simple self care, early hand washing and opportunities to practise natural movement. Sensorial exploration is constant and joyful. Babies touch different textures, explore natural objects and begin to refine their senses in calm and meaningful ways.
Swimming for Confidence and Physical Growth
Even our youngest children enjoy weekly swimming. These sessions are relaxed and enjoyable and help babies develop balance, coordination and body awareness. Swimming also strengthens the bond between the child and their educator.
A Gentle Connection with Nature
Our spacious outdoor environment gives babies time to enjoy fresh air, natural textures and sensory experiences. Babies can touch soft grass, watch plants sway in the breeze and explore the world around them in a safe and nurturing way.
Strong Emotional Bonds
Every child in the Explorers room has their own Key Person. This consistent relationship helps babies feel safe, understood and genuinely cared for. The Key Person works closely with families to create routines that feel comforting and familiar.
Staying Connected with Montessori Learning Journals
Parents receive regular updates through our secure Montessori Learning Journals. These journals share milestones, observations and small moments of joy. This helps parents feel involved, reassured and confident that their baby is thriving.
